The pipeline

One run, five stages, no blank timeline

You are never handed an empty editor and told to be creative. Every run produces a finished, watchable video — the editing is there to change your mind, not to finish the job.

  1. 01

    Storyline

A model drafts the hook, the beats and the payoff from one prompt — or continues the arc of the episode before it. You edit it before anything expensive runs.

  2. 02

    Voice

The whole script is narrated in one pass, so the delivery carries across beat boundaries. What the narrator actually says then sets the real timing of every scene.

  3. 03

    Visuals

An image for every beat, and — above the draft tier — generated video, each shot seeded from the last frame of the one before it so the seams do not show.

  4. 04

    Score

An instrumental cut to the exact length of the finished edit, with sections that change where the story changes.

  5. 05

    Edit

Cuts, captions, transitions and ducking applied from your preset. Ship it as-is, or open the timeline. Changing the edit is free.

What you get

Made for the first reel — and the fiftieth

One brief becomes a finished reel

Storyline, narration, score and visuals — written, generated and rendered in one run. You approve the storyline before anything expensive happens.

Standalone or part of a series

Make one reel without setting up a series, or lock the palette, voice, captions and score for a repeatable format. Later episodes can also continue the story that came before.

The price is on the button

Every action that costs credits shows what it costs before you press it. A run that fails to produce a video is never charged for.

Two-speed editing

Ship the render untouched, or open the timeline and change any cut, caption or layer. Changing the edit is free — it re-renders, it does not regenerate.

Clip your long-form video

Point us at a podcast or a stream. Finding the highlights is free; you only pay when you make a clip.

Scheduling and one-click export

Plan the week, write per-platform captions, and export the file and its caption together. Captions are free to write and rewrite.

Credits

Pay for renders, not for seats

Credits are $10 per 1,000. Prices below are per 30 seconds of finished video; a 60-second reel costs twice a 30-second one, with no surprises in between. The price of anything that spends credits is shown on the button before you press it.

Draft

$3.00

300 credits · per 30s

Generated stills with directed camera moves, rendered at 720×1280.

Not generated video — motion comes from the camera, not the model.

Best for: Volume, dailies, and testing a format before you commit to it.

Standard

$8.00

800 credits · per 30s

Generated video per beat at 720p, with frame-continuous seams.

Best for: The default. What most published reels should be.

Cinematic

$15.50

1,550 credits · per 30s

Generated video at 1080×1920, the highest-fidelity model in the stack.

Best for: Launches, hero episodes, anything with a budget behind it.

What we do not do

Three things worth knowing before you sign up

Every tool in this category advertises all three. We would rather you find out here than after you have paid.

Auto-posting to TikTok, Shorts, Reels or X

We connect to those platforms for identity only and never ask for posting permission. The API approvals are not being pursued, so the honest product is scheduling plus export.

Analytics, A/B tests and best-time-to-post insight

All three need platform read access we do not have. Suggested posting times are published defaults, and the app says so on the screen rather than implying we measured your audience.

Cloning your voice

Voice design ships and is unrestricted. Cloning stays off until we can verify that the voice being cloned is yours — the check that makes it own-voice-only rather than anyone-who-reads-a-sentence.

Questions

The ones people actually ask

Does directreels post to TikTok, YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels for me?

No. directreels schedules your week, writes per-platform captions and hands you the file and its caption together for a one-click export. We connect to platforms for identity only and never request permission to post on your behalf.

What does a reel cost?

Draft: 300 credits ($3.00) per 30 seconds. Standard: 800 credits ($8.00) per 30 seconds. Cinematic: 1550 credits ($15.50) per 30 seconds. Credits are $10 per 1,000, and every new account starts with 1,000 free credits, no card required.

What is the difference between the draft and standard tiers?

Draft generates still images and moves the camera across them — the motion is directed, but it is not generated video, and it renders at 720×1280. Standard generates real video for each beat at 720p. Draft is for volume and for testing a format; standard is what most published reels should be.

What happens if a render fails halfway through?

The scenes that finished are kept. You retry, and only the missing scenes run again — you are never charged twice for the same scene, and a run that never produces a video is never charged for at all.

Can I edit the video after it renders?

Yes, two ways. Switch preset — pacing, captions, transitions and audio ducking all change and it costs nothing, because changing the edit re-renders rather than regenerates. Or open the timeline and change individual cuts, captions and layers. Regenerating a single scene does cost credits, and the price is shown before you press it.

How does a series stay visually consistent between episodes?

The palette, voice, caption treatment and score style are locked on the first render and versioned from then on. Later episodes resolve the same lock, so a past episode is never retroactively changed when you edit the style.

Can I clone my own voice?

Not yet. You can design a voice from a description — a persistent, distinctive narrator you keep across a whole series — and that is unrestricted. Cloning stays disabled until we can verify that the voice being cloned belongs to the person submitting it.
